Dave's Take on Storytime with Ilan
Dave had his own take on story time with Ilan.The caption reads: "If he tells me one more time about the blizzard of '78 I think I'm gonna loose it!"
Ah! The Blizzard of '78 - when Dad walked up the back driveway in chest-high snow and almost didn't make it - the penultimate in "Storm Lore". I don't think there is a day it snows when one of my parents doesn't attempt to compare it with '78 or re-tell the tale . . . thankfully it's summer now . . .

Noah has been busying himself with his mirror lately - but why does his friend keep disappearing every time he looks away???
Noah Conferences Cases
Noah hung out at Case Conference the other day - potentially his last trip to NHPD, sniff! Even though its great for me to be doing something new, I am really going to miss everyone enormously - maybe that's why I keep going back there even though I don't technically work there anymore - they just can't get rid of me!
Behzad still remembers how to hold a baby - it's just like riding a bike, right?
Nanette kept me sane (relatively) while I was at NHPD - I don't know how I'm going to do anything without her!
Matt got in some good practice - it won't be long now before he experiences the sleepless nights for himself!
Robin kindly offered to watch Noah while Behzad and I were on a conference call - she's a natural!
Hmmm . . . Paul didn't pose for a picture holding Noah - perhaps he didn't want to give me any more ammunition against him after I surreptitiously snuck the "Diamond Buying Guide" into his inbox . . .

Noah and Grandpa Are In Tune
On Wednesday my Dad sang various made-up songs to Noah for hours (sorry kid) - I believe the lyrics were "Nana Jo is the boss of the world . . ." Finally! He's got it right!
The Beginning of a Beautiful Friendship???
Noah got to meet Sam (age 3 weeks) for the first time - little do they know that they will be singing the four questions together for years to come. Well, technically Sam is younger (although not necessarily smaller as you can see) - so maybe Noah can get out of it . . . we'll see. 
Perhaps Sam knows that Noah is going to try to dump this task on him, and that's why he's crying???

The Best Thing About The Boardwalk
The best thing about the Boardwalk, in my humble opinion, are the photo booths where you can take a classic 4-photo black and white strip! I hope they never take them away! Noah didn't quite get that you're supposed to smile as the camera goes off - you can see him decompensating as his picture is being taken. Oh well, maybe next year!
Noah at the Shore - Part III
And what would a trip to the shore be without visiting Rachel, Michael, Jordan and Max (and Bill and Carole, of course). They are some of our favorite people in the whole world - and luckily we got to spend a lot of time with them that week! 
Noah at the Shore - Part II
Dan, Katherine, and Joshua also came down to visit us in Bethany which was great! Getting two kids to the beach with all their gear was a challenge (well, it was mostly us and our gear that was challenging), but walking on the beach was a lot of fun. Joshua is talking up a storm now! Check out this video of Joshua and all of us waiting for the "big one!"
Noah's Trip to the Shore
At the end of July we went to Dave's parents summer house in Bethany Beach, DE. Grandma Max and Grandpa Steve got to spend time with Noah, and we all got to spend time walking on the boardwalks of Bethany and Rehoboth!
And what would a trip to the beach be without Thrasher's fries? This year Noah got to experience the line at Thrasher's. Maybe next year he'll actually get to eat the fries!

Noah's First Trip to Town Spa!
Noah also went for his first trip to Town Spa, where he had pizza with Tamara's oldest friend, Jon, his wife Jen, and his daughters Eva and Brenna.
Jodi comes to visit in July!
We saw more good friends in July - Jodi came from California for her brother Matt's wedding and was here for a month. Luckily we got to see her often - but we neglected to take a picture of her with Noah - so I am posting some pictures taken at the wedding. This was our first venture out without Noah - my mom graciously agreed to stay with him - and I only called her twice from the reception to check in!
Uncle Zev and Alicia were also invited - see them get down and boogie!

Noah is Very Pensive
This is my favorite video of Noah - taken when he was about three weeks old. I love it because it really looks like he's just in awe of everything around him. Its really true that kids change so fast - he doesn't make these faces anymore - and I miss them!!!
The Bris
What kind of crazy religion is this???? Take a new family who is getting no sleep and make them plan a party for 50 people! Mishigas!
But we got through it anyway, and the crazy grandparents were very helpful with the bagels and whitefish platters . .
First Visitors
Noah had many visitors those first weeks - including Uncle Zev, who zoomed over on his motorcycle and wanted to take him for a spin around the block . . . luckily he didn't have a small enough helmet for him.
Smile! Ok, well, Grimace!
He was so tiny when he came home - only a little over five pounds! He was swimming in all the clothes we had for him.
Rock Around the Clock
When Noah first came home from the hospital, all he wanted to do was rock . . . Dave was great at this!

Pre-Sentience
Well, he was a cute kid even pre-sentience. This is when I fell in love. I would take this picture out many times a day and look at the curve of his cheek and his nose. Sigh... No wonder I didn't get anything done at work. Yes, he is sucking on the umbilical cord there . . . well, whatever works, right?
